ABOUT YOU
You’re a detail-focused materials professional with a proactive approach to inventory control and process improvement. You know how to build effective processes for tracking, receiving, and storing materials, and you understand the importance of traceability and documentation—especially in regulated industries like aerospace. You’re comfortable working cross-functionally with engineering, production, and quality teams, and you thrive on keeping materials flowing efficiently in support of customer commitments. Whether you’re setting up a new warehouse or fine-tuning existing processes, you bring structure and control to everything you do.
Responsibilities
- Oversee materials, inventory, and procurement processes to ensure accuracy, availability, and compliance.
- Develop and enforce inventory control procedures, including labeling, traceability, and storage for different material types.
- Manage the purchase order process, working with suppliers and vendors to negotiate pricing and lead times.
- Implement cycle counts, inventory audits, and barcode tracking systems to improve efficiency.
- Work cross-functionally with engineering, production, and quality teams to forecast material needs.
- Maintain compliance with FAA traceability requirements, ensuring all materials have proper documentation.
- Support the company’s facility relocation, ensuring materials are transferred efficiently and properly stored in the new location.
- Assist with supplier audits, vendor onboarding, and contract renewals to optimize sourcing.
- Lead process improvement initiatives to streamline material handling and reduce waste.
What We’re Looking For
- 3-7 years of experience in materials management, inventory control, or supply chain roles
- Background in aerospace, aviation, or another regulated manufacturing industry preferred
- Strong understanding of traceability requirements, FAA compliance, and inventory documentation
- Experience with ERP/MRP systems and inventory tracking software (barcode/QR system experience a plus)
- Hands-on experience with procurement, receiving, warehouse operations, and supplier management
- Ability to develop and enforce processes for inventory accuracy and materials tracking
- Strong problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills
- Experience supporting a facility move or new warehouse setup is highly desirable
- Must be on-site in Chandler, AZ
