Job Summary: Waters Construction Company has an immediate opening for drivers who are Safe, Smart, Positive, Respectful and Adaptable with a valid Class A CDL License. Drivers will operate our manual transmission triaxle dump trucks, hauling materials to and from our projects throughout CT.
What You’ll Do:
- Operate tri-axle dump truck safely and efficiently on public highways and in off-road situations to deliver asphalt and aggregate material to and from job sites. The operator will also haul other materials as needed such as rock, soils, mulch, brush, etc.
- Perform pre-trip inspections
- Exercise proper care and maintenance of company equipment as well as always keeping it clean and serviceable.
- Report all equipment malfunctions to maintenance staff.
What You’ll Need:
- A Have a current Class A CDL license with an excellent safety driving record. (Tanker endorsement preferred)
- Must have at least Five (5) years’ experience driving triaxles.
- Excellent Communicator.
- Ability to work Night shifts
- Ability to work independently.
- Ability to clean and grease own truck.
- Perform daily pre and post trip inspections.
- Keep accurate logs of deliveries and time worked.
- Comply with all OSHA & MSHA regulations and Company Safety and Policy Rules.
- Positive Attitude.
- Should have reliable transportation.
- Understand that this would require you to work Eight (8) to Nine (9) Months of the year with a Three (3) to Four (4) month layoff period.
- This would require the inability to take any summer vacations.
- Must be a team player with a can-do attitude.
- Adaptability and strong problem-solving skills.
- Excellent time-management skills.
