The work environment characteristics for this position are in an industrial setting where all policies regarding safety have to be followed. The employee occasionally works near moving mechanical parts and is occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. Essential Duties And Responsibilities

- Review and interpret drawings, specifications and job instructions.
- Fit, align, tack weld and finish weld units, parts, components, etc. in accordance with specifications using both hard wire and flux core wire ensuring structural integrity including both vertical bottom-up and top-down. The components range in size but are routinely several hundred pounds. These components must be manipulated and aligned with lifting devices.
- May use jigs and holding fixtures where available to locate and position pieces and materials.
- Instructions are given on deviations from standard practices.
- Perform more complex fitting, developing patterns, cuts, and layouts under direction.
- Use rules, templates and fixed gauges.
- Work is subject to process and final inspection.
- Consistently completes work ahead of schedule, with reduced hours and improved quality.
- Complete all work or job-related documents and measurements.
- Provide input on product and process improvements, as well as corrections to drawings, specifications, or bill of materials.
- Work cooperatively with peers and leaders, creating an environment of teamwork.
- Maintain a neat, clean and safe work area. All production material and tools should be organized and clearly labeled.

Education And/or Experience
- Required education generally equivalent to a High School Diploma; 6G Certification strongly desired,
- AA in Industrial Arts preferred
- Requires 1-3 years of high-level welding experience.
- Requires mathematical skills that require the ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide.
- Requires a high level of basic design and welding principles.
- Requires good oral and written communication skills in the English language to interact with and provide work direction to other employees.
- Must be able to read and understand blueprints, specifications and routings.
- Must pass a Watertronics weld test designed to evaluate candidate welding skills and knowledge.
