About the Role
As an Advanced Manufacturing Technician at our Houston, TX facility you will be responsible for upholding world-class manufacturing standards, overseeing the inspection, and testing of products, managing testing equipment troubleshooting, and ensuring the team is well-trained and at mastery for all processes that are related to the correct functionality of electrical control panels. This position will ensure manufactured electrical control panels operate according to the customer-required design theory of operations. Quality excellence standards, including analysis and rework, will be a top priority. The individual will work closely with key stakeholders to resolve any issues that may arise while maintaining ownership of the processes. Additionally, the position will work closely with the team to promote safety, help the team achieve their goals, and ensure the overall success of the manufacturing area(s).
Your Key Responsibilities
Electrical live testing
Can execute tests for rapid prototyping and concept generation
Recommends and implements solutions within designated area of responsibility
Technical troubleshooting of process, equipment, and product
Understand the processes and can apply them in multiple work areas and has the ability to train others on specific skills
Uses resources to learn the business
Demonstrate knowledge with Microsoft Office and other computer systems
Demonstrates approachability and openness
Establishes credibility
Demonstrates excellent interpersonal listening and communication capabilities
Maintains and assigns test equipment to projects to provide efficient use of lab resources as well as lab maintenance
Schedules and tracks test projects to meet customer expectations
Set up/program and run complex equipment and machine tools used in the production of product
Review and complete necessary data capture
Run and maintain test equipment per procedure
May orient, train, and assign/review the work of other team members
Required Qualifications
Minimum 5 years working with live electricity
Ability to use various measurement tools
Ability to read and interpret CAD drawings
Ability to read and interpret engineering documentation
NFPA 70E Training
Desired Qualifications
Preferred Two-year degree or Technical Certificate or related experience (3-5 years)
Leadership training
Proficiency with Microsoft Windows, Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.
Experience in the use of various measurement tools/gauges, electrical equipment, temperature & power controls, temperature sensors, and fluid control devices
Ability to embrace change and be flexible in work assignments and accept re-prioritization when necessary
