About The Role
As the Facilities Technician, for the St. Louis MO site, you will be responsible for maintaining the building's systems and equipment. This includes work in plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, and general repairs, ensuring the facility operates safely and efficiently. Key duties include performing routine preventive maintenance checks, responding to requests, and coordinating with outside contractors for projects when necessary. As time allows, may also include some production equipment maintenance and machine repair. This position will report into the Regional Facilities Leader located in St Louis.

About The Role

Key duties include performing routine preventive maintenance checks, responding to requests, and coordinating with outside contractors for projects when necessary. As time allows, may also include some production equipment maintenance and machine repair. This position will report into the Regional Facilities Leader located in St Louis.
Your Key Responsibilities
- Inspecting, diagnosing, and servicing building systems like HVAC units, plumbing fixtures, electrical panels, fire alarms, and lighting to prevent breakdowns. Also includes damaged doors and windows, and other building components.
- Performs minor carpentry repairs such as fixing doors, replacing trim, patching walls, and building small structures.
- Maintains the appearance of the building by painting interior and exterior surfaces, cleaning common areas, and removing debris.
- Documents maintenance activities, repairs completed, parts used, and creating work orders.
- Addresses urgent maintenance issues like water leaks, power outages, and security breaches.
- Manages and communicates with external contractors for larger repairs or installations.
- Adheres to safety protocols and ensuring the facility meets building codes.
- Maintains accurate records of repair activities, equipment history, and spare parts inventory using a CMMS.
- Flexibility to work non-standard hours and respond to emergency situations.
- High-school graduate/GED preferred
- Preferred Two-year degree or Technical Certificate within HVAC, electrical or plumbing areas of expertise.
- Technical knowledge: Basic understanding of plumbing, electrical, HVAC systems, carpentry, and general building maintenance practices.
- Hand and power tool proficiency: Ability to operate various hand tools and power equipment safely and effectively.
- Problem-solving skills: Identifying the root cause of issues and devising effective solutions to repair problems.
- Attention to detail: Completing tasks accurately and following established procedures.
- Communication skills: Effectively communicating with facility staff, management, and outside contractors
