Role Summary
The Quality Systems Specialist will evaluate, maintain, and continuously improve the organization’s Quality Management System (QMS) to ensure compliance with ISO 9001:2015 and ISO 14001:2015 and other applicable standards. This role requires a strategic approach to updating quality processes, procedures, and documentation to meet regulatory and customer requirements while fostering a culture of quality across the organization.
This role will focus on:
- Perform a comprehensive review of the current QMS to identify gaps and areas for improvement.
- Update QMS documentation, including policies, procedures, and work instructions, to align with ISO 9001:2015 and ISO 14001:2015 standards.
- Ensure that all updates are effectively communicated and implemented across relevant departments.
- Plan, schedule, and conduct internal audits to assess compliance with ISO 9001 requirements.
- Document audit findings and collaborate with teams to implement corrective and preventive actions.
- Analyze quality performance metrics and trends to recommend and drive improvements.
- Work with cross-functional teams to streamline processes and enhance operational efficiency.
- Provide training to employees on ISO 9001 requirements and quality-related processes.
- Serve as the primary resource for QMS-related inquiries and guidance.
- Support supplier quality assessments to ensure alignment with organizational quality standards.
- Work with customers to address quality concerns and ensure satisfaction.
- Ensure ongoing compliance with ISO 9001:2015 and ISO 14001:2015 and other relevant standards.
- Coordinate with external auditors and certification bodies for ISO certification and surveillance audits.
To be successful in this role, you will need:

Education & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Quality Management, Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum 3–5 years of experience in quality management or a similar role, preferably in a manufacturing or regulated environment.
- Proven experience with ISO 9001:2015 and ISO 14001:2015 implementation and maintenance.
Desired Skills:
- Strong knowledge of ISO 9001:2015 and ISO 14001:2015 requirements and quality management principles.
- Proficient in quality tools such as root cause analysis, corrective action plans, and process mapping.
- Excellent organizational and project management skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal abilities to collaborate across teams.
- Attention to detail and a proactive problem-solving approach.
Physical Demands:
- Mobility: Must be able to sit at a desk for extended periods, and occasionally lift or carry office supplies and equipment up to 10 pounds.
- Vision and Hearing: Ability to use a computer and read documents. Effective communication skills to interact with colleagues and clients.
- Work Environment: Typical office setting with moderate noise levels and standard office equipment.
