- Support manufacturing processes by identifying opportunities for improvement and optimization.
- Assist in implementing lean manufacturing principles to enhance efficiency and reduce waste.
- Collaborate with production teams to troubleshoot issues and streamline operations.
- Participate in quality assurance activities to ensure products meet industry standards and meet customer requirements.
- Support manufacturing processes by helping design/select and implement manufacturing equipment.
- Design tooling fixtures to produce machined and formed parts.
- Verify router times by completing time studies while updating Syteline and suggesting improvements.
- Participate and assist in Kaizen events.
- Support facility layout activities by measuring plant floor equipment and updating CAD.
- Work with production teams supporting 6S activities.
- Create TPM and Standard Work documents and train operators to them.
- Currently enrolled as a Junior or Senior undergraduate student in an accredited engineering program, preferably in Industrial/Manufacturing Engineering or a related field.
- Strong academic background with coursework in mechanical design, manufacturing processes, and related disciplines.
- Excellent problemsolving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fastpaced environment.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Prior internship or coop experience is a plus.
- Manufacturing environment with exposure to machinery, noise, and temperature variations.
- Employees may be frequently required to sit, climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee may lift and/or move up to 45 pounds without help.
- Walking and standing on the Plant floor.
- Handson experience in both mechanical and manufacturing engineering disciplines.
