What are the responsibilities and job description for the Coordinator for ESL Evening Summer Parent Program position at Waukegan Community Unit District 60?
- To provide guidance for teachers in implementing the Burlington English Curriculum including differentiation to parents.
- To develop and conduct workshops for teachers / support staff.
- To conduct student intake, assessment, and placement of new students;
- To provide a pre- and post-test utilizing the Burlington English Curriculum curriculum for parents and prepare a report of the results;
- To observe classrooms and ensure that curriculum is being well implemented with fidelity;
- To facilitate teachers' activities for children and parents to share at the end of class each week;
- To make sure that teachers have a platform to conduct remote learning sessions for parents.
- To supervise every aspect of the functioning of the program for smooth operation;
- To distribute materials needed for instruction, provide a check-out list to teachers, conduct an inventory of supplies and materials, and return any materials to the Bilingual and Multicultural Department at Lincoln Center at the end of classes;
- To collect, analyze, interpret and report on project data. Compose narrative and statistical reports for grant reporting;
- To conduct classroom virtual visits to ensure curriculum is being implemented.

Qualifications: Must have a Valid Illinois Administrative Certificate Type 75, and Bilingual Certification with ESL endorsement. Experience working in Adult Education Programs.
Responsibilities:
Requirements: The ideal candidate would have strengths in communciation skills, both written and verbal, is self-motivated and a great team leader with creativity and problem solving skills. Must plan and coordinate the ESL program as proposed from (dates may change due to District designation), order materials, and hold training required for teachers and other staff.
Salary: $48/hour 6 hours/week
Work Year: 2024-2025 Monday and Wednesdays 5:00-8:00PM June 3, 2025 - June 26, 2025.
