- Promote a safe and positive enviornment by observing and managing behavior of students, and facilitating a positive and supportive learning environment. Assist faculty with immediate safety problems;
- To be present with students during all instructional and supervisory times.
- To plan for Language Art, Math, Science and other featured academic areas.
- To provide for All Student's growth by scaffolding lessons including differentiation and modification of materials.
- To participate with staff in promoting the enrichment component that is designed for students during the Summer School session.

Waukegan Community Unit School District No. 60 serves nearly 15,500 students in preschool through grade 12 and is located halfway between Chicago, Illinois and Milwaukee, Wisconsin on the shores of Lake Michigan. The District has one early learning center, 15 elementary schools, five middle schools and a high school program divided between two 9 – 12th grade campuses. The District encompasses portions of Waukegan, Beach Park and Park City.

Responsibilities:
The purpose of the Teacher is to provide instruction to students in reading, math, science and other featured academic areas to best facilitate academic growth during the 6-week summer school session. This includes attending all profesional development and training intended for teachers.

Qualifications and Experience Required: Professional Educator License (ESL endorsement preferred).
Compensation: Based on current hourly wages for teachers.
