What are the responsibilities and job description for the Core Maker position at Waukesha Foundry?
- Must be able to read masters
- Must know the difference between sands.
- Has to be able to read measuring devices.
- Must make proper sand required
- Must know proper wires and vents on all jobs.
- Must make good cores
- Must be able to operate sand mixers.
- Must be able to know proper chills and risers.
- Must know the difference between washes.
- Must be able to assemble cores of various sizes & complexities. Including filing to fit and pasting or clamping sections to dimensional accuracy.
- Must fill in & repair cores as necessary.
- Must know the quality requirement of core and reject the cores not meeting quality expectations.
- Maintain proper housekeeping for work area
- Other duties as assigned by supervisor
- Must be able to perform the above in a safe manner and as part of the team
Skills: Must have the ability to use direct reading and fixed gauges. Requires use of basic arithmetic functions such as add, subtract, multiply, divide, and work with percentages and decimals. Must be able to read and understand shop paperwork.
Abilities: Must be able to achieve fork lift certification.
Working conditions:Normal foundry atmosphere.

Pay: Up to $22.70 per hour
