Qualifications:
- High school diploma (additional training desirable, but not required)
- Working knowledge of a student database (Infinite Campus preferred)
- Competence in using Microsoft Office Suite, Google Suite and Adobe Acrobat
- Organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to assume responsibility, display initiative, and exercise good judgment.
- Ability to work independently
- Effectively communicate via written and verbal means
- Ability to perform duties of a sensitive and confidential nature.
General Responsibilities:
- Collaborates with the special education team, including support staff, coordinators and the Director of Special Education.
- Adapts to a variety of responsibilities.
- Presents a positive image in contacts with parents, community and staff.
- Properly handles confidential matters relating to students, student records, parents, and staff and any other school-related issue.
Essential Functions:
- Review Section 504 plans submitted by school psychologists and nurses. Track submission dates, annual review dates and reevaluation dates for each plan.
- Process all records requests from outside agencies and other school districts.
- Coordinate all aspects of Medicaid billing including updating staff lists,caseloads and transportation logs.
- Coordinate all aspects of Early Learner Screening
- Coordinate all department mailings
- Create and distribute 2 year old folders for families
- Track new student data
- Communicate professionally via telephone, email or other electronic systems. Promptly respond to inquiries from internal and external sources.
- Answer telephone, take messages, screen calls, make appointments, and schedule meetings.
- Communicate with staff, and other outside agencies, based on the information or need that was requested.
- Provide confidential information and support to all special education staff.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Written and verbal communication in English; write reports and business correspondence.
- Read and interpret documents such as District reporting forms, procedure manuals, and governmental regulations.
- Ability to carry out instructions furnished in written, verbal or digital form.
- Ability to maintain good relationships with others. Good human relation skills.
- Adapt to changing work priorities with interruptions.

- Hourly rate $25.17 - $28.71, depending on experience
- 8 Hours per day / 7:30 AM - 4:00 PM / 12-months per year
