Job Title: Director of Assisted Living
About the Role:
The Director of Assisted Living oversees the health and wellness of our assisted living residents, ensuring their medical and personal care needs are met. This includes resident assessments, medication management, and activities of daily living assistance.
Key Responsibilities:
* Hires and supervises nursing staff for the assisted living unit.
* Directs the completion of pre-admission screens and lifestyle assessments to determine initial and ongoing resident needs.
* Collaborates with the Director of Post-Acute Services and/or Director of Health Services to ensure seamless clinical services across the campus.
* Ensures accurate documentation and communication of resident needs and service plans to caregivers.
* Facilitates resident meetings and addresses feedback and concerns in a timely manner.
* Coordinates pharmacy and medication management, ensuring compliance with state regulations and company policies.
* Serves as liaison between residents, healthcare providers, family members, and referral sources to meet health-related needs.
* Supervises and participates in performing treatment regimens per physician orders.
* Maintains accurate and up-to-date resident medical records according to state guidelines.
* Trains Nursing Assistants on activities of daily living assistance, pharmacy/medication policies, and other health-related training needs.
* Supports the hiring, recruitment, and selection process for nursing assistants and licensed staff in the assisted living unit.
Requirements:
LPN license in good standing from an accredited school of nursing.
Valid driver's license and ability to operate a large van/bus (up to 15-passenger) vehicle.
