Library Adult Engagement / Programming Assistant
The Waunakee Public Library is currently hiring a passionate and dedicated part-time Programming and Engagement Assistant to join its Adult Services Team.
The Programming and Engagement Assistant will help propose, plan, promote, and host library programs for adults; communicate with speakers and performers; represent the library at community events; partner with community groups; and perform other activities that promote learning and connection in our community. Successful candidates will also be responsible for greeting and helping library visitors, checking out and checking in materials using a computer network, shelving library materials, answering customers’ questions, opening and closing the library, and other tasks as assigned.
Minimum Requirements :
- Experience with program planning and outreach required.
- Library or related customer service experience is desired but not required.
- A working knowledge of computers is essential.
This position is 20-22 hours per week, including regular weekend and evening hours. Starting wage is $19.14 an hour.
