What are the responsibilities and job description for the Nutrition Program Meal Delivery Driver position at Waupaca County?
The Nutrition Program Meal Delivery Driver is responsible for ensuring safe, reliable, and timely delivery of meals to eligible homebound clients residing outside of the program’s current delivery zones. This position plays a vital role in enhancing the health and well-being of program clients by providing them with consistent access to nutritious meals. Delivery communities currently include rural areas in Weyauwega, Fremont, Caledonia, and Readfield, though route may change based on the needs of clients.
This position will exist as long as program clientele require delivery of meals. Anticipated schedule is mid-day delivery of meals on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays, with an estimated 6-8 hours of deliveries each week. The schedule is subject to change based on the needs of clients.Pick up meals at designated location(s) within Waupaca County and deliver to clients within assigned rural areas (current areas: Weyauwega, Fremont, Caledonia, and Readfield, but subject to change).
Ensure meals are delivered promptly and with care to each client's home.
Communicate any route or schedule changes to program coordinators and clients as necessary.
Follow all safety protocols and program policy to protect clients, staff, and the community.
Track mileage accurately for weekly reimbursement purposes.
Maintain agency confidentiality at all times.

PERIPHERAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

Physical ability to lift (up to 50 lbs.) and carry meals as neededAbility to communicate effectively orally and in writing.

Ability to maintain a strict level of confidentiality.
