Job Description
This role is responsible for performing mechanical maintenance and repairs to ensure the optimal functioning of our facility. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in breakdown response, preventative maintenance, and equipment repair.
Key Responsibilities
- Complete safety training and adhere to departmental safety policies and guidelines.
- Participate in WF's 6-S Program (housekeeping) and demonstrate ability to utilize process control documents and Departmental Work Instructions (DWIs).
- Make necessary adjustments to machinery to ensure efficient operations.
- Perform fabrication, machine repair, installation, basic construction type work or other duties as assigned.
Qualifications/Skills
- Education equivalent to a degree in a maintenance-related field or actively pursuing a degree.
- Willingness to work flexible shifts including 2nd or 3rd shift.
- Solid work history with good oral communication skills.
- Ability to understand and follow instructions, solve problems, and work independently with minimal supervision.
- Proficiency in welding, hydraulics, pneumatics, fabrication/fasteners, blueprint reading, power transmission repair, and machine repair.
