What are the responsibilities and job description for the Receiving Lead - Material Handler IV - 1st Shift position at Wausau Window and Wall Systems?
The Team Leader provides leadership and support to their team on their shift. The Team Leader is an experienced Assembly, Materials, Crib, Receiving and/or Warehouse team member who works side by side with the Shift Supervisor and team members to ensure Tubelite products are produced correctly and shipped on time and complete.
Responsibilities
- Facilitate daily shift start-up team meetings
- Collect and chart data for the team boards
- Help train new Production team members
- Track and audit training for new hires and team members moving into different positions
- Working with the Shift Supervisor, help direct workflow and resources to ensure efficient and effective operations
- Help enforce work rules and safety regulations
- Fill in for assembly and/or warehouse team members when needed
- Fill in for Shift Supervisor when needed, primarily covering for vacations and weekends
Requirements
Production Skills:
- Fully cross-trained in-home area (Level 3 skill proficiency earned for each function) / or demonstrated competency to learn positions.
- Excellent problem-solving skills
- Demonstrated leadership skills
Technology Skills:
- Understand and utilize enterprise software system.
- Able to effectively use Microsoft Office software, particularly Outlook, Excel, Word.
Leadership Requirements
- Able to identify/report and handle discipline issues with support of supervisor.
- Commit to Team Leader responsibilities, opportunities and requirements
- Excellent communication and team building skills
Preferred Requirements
- Minimum 2 years Tubelite production experience
- Average Attendance during tenure of no more than 6 points
- No written disciplines (excepting attendance) during previous 2 years
