Production Manager

Summary:

We are looking for a Production Manager to join our growing team. This individual is responsible for all aspects of managing the business for the designated plant.

Core Responsibilities:

· Plant Leader, lead / direct day to day activities for the production team.

· Deliver the operations KPls: safety, customer quality, internal quality, on-time delivery, labor productivity, equipment uptime, and budget attainment.

· Provide a safe work environment, including accountability to safety policies and improving safety in the plant.

· Assess and plan for the staffing needs of the production facility, including the FTE (Full Time Equivalent) headcount needs to run the business, training and development needs and resource needs. Also partner with Human Resources to meet hiring and retention needs.

· Improve First Pass Yield including scrap reduction, re-work reduction, and discipline to quality audits and MRB (Material Review Board) system.

· Partner with Corporate Quality and Purchasing to improve Supplier quality performance.

· Improve the manufacturing processes including, variation reduction, machining process improvement for quality and OTO (On-Time-Delivery)

· Discipline to our systems: ensure adherence to all company and manufacturing processes, policies, and procedures.

· Actively involved in the continuous improvement of our systems and lean manufacturing.

· Support and improve our Layered Process Audit System

· Actively involved in 5S, assessments, facilitation, and KPls. Lead, improve and accountability to sustaining and improving 5S in the plant.

· Improve OTD to our customers to our goal and improve the relationship.

· Improve labor productivity, including KPI, discipline to systems and continuous improvement.

· Actively support maintenance on improving our equipment uptime.

· Deliver revenue and monthly net income targets.

· Make decisions to keep costs down and improve our equipment uptime with repairs, upgrades, add-ons, and replacement.

· Reduce controllable costs: material, labor, perishable tooling, coolants, oils, lubes and chemicals.

· Continuous improvement: have a continuous improvement mindset to improve people, quality, productivity, and cost.

· Support and manage Lean Manufacturing in the plant: 5S, Visual Management, product flow and Kaizen Blitzes to drive improved processes.

· Estimating Liaison: support estimating on routings, cycle time and capacity utilization.

· Drive standardization and accountability in all Wauseon processes with all your teams.

· Project Support: provide operations input and support for Kaizens and capital projects.

· Partner with the Purchasing Team to outsource machining and secondary processes.

· Execute Special projects as needed.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $100,000.00 - $115,000.00 per year
