POSITION OVERVIEW
As the Community Manager & Partnerships Lead, you will be responsible for fostering deep connections with our audience, amplifying brand love, and creating meaningful collaborations. This role requires a mix of community engagement, social listening, ambassador relations, and strategic partnerships, all aimed at strengthening Wavytalk’s brand presence.
This position reports to the Senior Marketing Director and will collaborate closely with teams across marketing, product development, and customer service.
Key Responsibilities:
Community Engagement & Brand Advocacy
- Serve as the voice of Wavytalk by engaging daily with our community across social media, online forums, and direct brand channels, ensuring every interaction is a positive experience.
- Act as a liaison with customer service, ensuring customer concerns are addressed promptly while maintaining brand tone and fostering customer loyalty.
- Build a proactive social listening strategy, identifying key insights from customer conversations and trends, then sharing findings with cross-functional teams to inform product development, marketing, and brand messaging.
Brand Ambassador & Hair Stylist Network
- Develop and manage the Wavytalk Brand Ambassador Program, focusing on brand-building actions like exclusive events, high-quality content creation, and community-driven campaigns.
- Establish and grow a network of professional hairstylists, laying the foundation for the Wavytalk Hair Stylist Academy—a future educational platform dedicated to training and empowering stylists.
Community-Driven Initiatives & Events
- Lead the planning and execution of community events, both virtual and in-person, such as styling workshops, product launches, and brand pop-ups.
- Oversee user-generated content (UGC) campaigns, fostering organic brand advocacy and excitement.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to create engaging brand moments, from loyalty programs to surprise-and-delight campaigns for our most engaged customers.
Strategic Partnerships & Collaborations
- Identify and build strategic brand partnerships with like-minded businesses, beauty brands, and industry leaders to expand Wavytalk’s presence and credibility.
- Negotiate co-branded opportunities, securing cross-promotional initiatives that align with Wavytalk’s vision and values.
- Ensure all partnerships drive mutual brand equity and create genuine value for Wavytalk’s audience.
About You:
We are looking for a community-driven, relationship-building expert who thrives on engagement, storytelling, and strategic collaboration. You should be passionate about hair, beauty, and content creation, with a deep understanding of digital communities, influencer marketing, and brand building.
- 4 years of experience in community management, influencer relations, partnerships, or brand marketing, preferably in beauty, lifestyle, or fashion industries.
- Proven experience in growing and engaging online communities across social media platforms (Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, Facebook, etc.).
- Strong background in influencer marketing, with the ability to identify, recruit, and nurture brand ambassadors and professional hairstylists.
- Experience in event planning and execution, from small community activations to larger brand events.
- Understanding of social listening tools, customer insights analysis, and trend forecasting to inform brand strategy.
- A passion for relationship-building—whether with customers, influencers, stylists, or brand partners.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to craft engaging content and responses in Wavytalk’s brand voice.
- Ability to multitask and manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.

Salary: $80,000 - $90,000 annually*
This position may be eligible for performance-based incentives/bonuses.
