Job Title : Digital Merchandising Lead

Job Summary: The Digital Merchandising Lead is responsible for managing and executing Wawa’s digital merchandising strategies to align product, brand and financial goals across a multi-channel ordering landscape. This role assists in driving digital engagement through collaborative planning and execution of product and content features to create a frictionless shopping experience and drive online conversion.
Principal Duties:
- Manage the digital merchandising efforts related to Wawa’s vast catalog of merchandise products, including the execution and maintenance across all ordering channels – specifically web, mobile, 3PL menus and in-store kiosks
- Participates in the review and governance process of all new product launches to ensure the proposed ordering path aligns to the brand strategy, channel consistency and customer usability
- Manage and maintain the digital merchandising calendar, ensuring all content and product data dependencies are met by product offer and ordering channel
- Responsible for all customer facing merchandizing content including product names, descriptions, badging, tagging, and filtering; leverage product attribution to drive dynamic taxonomy and content delivery
- Guides validation efforts with Category teams to ensure all product launches and enhancements are thoroughly tested / validated, and deployed in a timely manner
- Ensure asset specifications (including high image quality) are met to optimize page speed and adhere to brand standards
- Work cross-functionally with the internal stakeholders (Category Teams, Experience Managers, Product Development, Channel Owners) to create and deploy A/B testing with the goal of driving increased menu profitability
- Review product data assessments and audits to hold partners accountable for maintaining a quality item catalog
- Collaborate internally with Category and Personalization teams as well as Channel owners on product enhancements such as upselling/cross-selling opportunities, navigation, ease-of-use and SEO improvements
- Assist Marketing & Advertising teams with regular and ad-hoc CMS tasks and initiatives
- Partner with Experience teams to drive site optimizations, including UX/UI and testing initiatives
- Optimize SEO value by boosting content that can be indexed, improving onsite search tool capabilities, and by making strategic updates to product descriptions.
- Use data and analytics to analyze and understand purchase decision triggers
- Continuously leverage and employ research and analytics to monitor performance to extract insights

Basic Requirements :
- Minimum 1-3 years professional experience (or equivalent post-graduate education) in catalog management and/or retail environment
- E-commerce experience is required
- Demonstrate practical knowledge of Information Management, Categorization and Sequencing, Usability guidelines as it relates search and navigation, SEO, Personalization, A/B Testing, and Content Management Systems.
- Ability to clearly and confidently explain merchandising strategies to executive stakeholders and business leads
- Experience working with Category, Marketing, and Creative teams on creation and execution of product content, site updates, and campaign calendars across multiple digital channels/applications (e.g. responsive web, native application, in-store kiosk)
- Clear, concise, and direct verbal and written communication skills
- Detail oriented
- Strong organization and time management skills
- Ability to effectively prioritize tasks in a fast-paced, highly collaborative, and agile environment
