Compensation:

  • In accordance with California law, the expected salary range for this position is posted with this position.  The actual compensation will be determined based on experience and other factors permitted by law.

Role Summary

As a Driver, you will be pivotal in supporting children, youth, and families facing life’s toughest challenges. Whether you provide hands-on case management, help to develop life skills, or provide emotional support, your work will directly impact the lives of those we serve.

How you will Impact Change:

  • Drives agency vehicles and transports students to various locations including but not limited to, the bus and train station, airport, doctor’s offices, and other locations as directed by the Director of Adult Services.
  • Attends staff meetings, seminars, and conferences as directed by immediate supervisor.
  • Transports instructors to visits with clients.
  • Helps conduct visual assessments of home environments to assist visually impaired instructors in addressing safety hazards, cleanliness, etc.
  • Assists in marking appliances with tactile aids, providing visual assistance during technology setup, and setting up adaptive equipment under the direction of the instructor.
  • Delivers equipment and assists with setup as needed.

Qualifications


Education and Credentials

  • At a minimum, a high school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • One year of professional transportation experience operating and driving vehicles to transport individuals with special needs is preferred but not required.
  • Valid CA Driver License with a minimum of two (2) years good driving history and must be approved by the agency’s insurance carrier to drive agency vehicles.
