Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Registered Nurse to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will be dedicated to providing high-quality patient care in a private family medicine office. This role requires a thorough understanding of patient needs, strong clinical skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals.
Duties
- Supervise/Manage nursing staff
- Assist the physician/clinician in the treatment of primary care patients
- Room patients and perform assessment
- Perform venipuncture and collect blood samples for laboratory tests as ordered by the clinician
- Maintain inventory of clinical supplies, purchase and replenish supplies as necessary
- Responsible for daily checks on emergency kits
- Accurately record nursing observations
- Enter labs and x-rays into patient’s records
- Administer all allergy injections as well as other vaccinations as needed and directed by physician.
- Educate patients and their families about medications, vaccines, and procedures, offering clear instructions and answering any questions to ensure their understanding
- Administer medications as directed by physician / clinician.
- Calls in or eprescribe prescriptions under authorization of physician / clinician.
- Maintain positive attitude and working relationship with patients, their family members, and coworkers.
- Check temperature of vaccine refrigerator daily.
- Quality control on all new test supplies before they are used and keep accurate record.
- Answer phone and return patient calls.
- Manage and order vaccine inventory monthly. Check dates on stock items.
- Manage patient record correspondence
- Review patient charts in ensure appropriate information for quality assurance
- Maintains patient confidentiality in compliance with HIPPA standards.
Experience
Candidates should possess the following qualifications:
- Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice.
- eClinicalWorks experience preferred but not necessary
