What are the responsibilities and job description for the Embedded Firmware Programmer position at Waymaker Engineering?
We are looking for an Embedded Firmware Programmer with strong experience in embedded microcontroller programming, particularly in C/C programming language. This team member will be responsible for developing firmware, as well as testing and debugging. Other responsibilities may include software development, prototype assembly and testing, circuitry design, and printed circuit board (PCB) layout.
An ideal team member would have a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or similar, familiarity with Microchip/TI/ST microcontrollers, Altium Designer experience, proficiency in Java programming, experience with FPGA design using VHDL, and hands-on experience with embedded designs.
This is a full-time role with flexibility for partial remote work. Team members would ideally be on-site in Alma, AR two or more days a week as needed.
