Position Description
POSITION SUMMARY
Wayne Brothers is seeking a detail-oriented and organized HR professional to serve Industrial Group team members, improve engagement, and increase retention by helping team members understand policies, manage benefits and career path plan in coordination with the WBI Human Resources team.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES
Help build the desired culture and monitor morale
- Act as a liaison with craft employees
- Visit projects and engage with team members
- Drive behaviors and be a part of culture using programs and initiatives
Assist with recruiting and hiring
- Engage with current employees to refer their friends and family to WBI
- Engage with schools, military and other entities to recruit in new areas.
- Assist with interviews for candidates
- Liaison between Ops Manager/HR and third-party recruiters on hiring needs
- Work with current Industrial Group craft workers to refer new candidates
Assist with assessments and training as required
- Work with Superintendents and Ops Manager to identify necessary skills training
- Work with training team to facilitate and document training
- Help Superintendents, Foremen and Training to document assessed competencies in the field
Be a bridge between the field and HR
- Help the field understand the availability timeline and paperwork associated with WBI benefits
- Work with Superintendents, Foremen, Ops Managers and HR to manage employee complaints, concerns, and discipline
- Be a resource for craft employees when it comes to HR needs or questions
- Work with HR team to communicate to and get info from the field

Position Requirements
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE
- Associate’s degree in HR or related field preferred.
- First Aid and CPR Trained Preferred
- Previous HR Experience Preferred
- Previous experience in an industrial contracting environment (ex. specialty concrete, equipment rigging and installation, and process piping installation.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED
- Computer skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Independent worker
- Experience in a construction environment preferred
WORKING CONDITIONS
- This position exists within both a professional office environment and a field environment.
- Often, the position will need to travel overnight for various customer project site locations.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
- Valid Driver’s License
- 10-Hour OSHA Certification – required (after employment)
- OSHA 30 (preferred)
- First Aid/CPR certification
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
- Sitting for long periods of time-frequently
- Standing for long periods of time-frequently
- Repetitive hand/wrist motion in typing - frequently
- Command of Oral Presentations for large and small groups with diverse audiences-frequently
- Driving to meetings, job sites, training-frequently
- Overnight travel by multi-modal transportation-frequently
