Wayne Cooperative is currently recruiting for a Systems Administrator to oversee our suite of core IT Systems. This position is responsible for maintenance, connectivity, security, access control and firewalls for our critical systems and reports directly to our Chief Technology Officer.
The Systems Administrator role is responsible for the management and support of company IT infrastructure, systems, and services, ensuring these services are secure, efficient, and dependable in support of a positive user experience. This role will also install new software releases, system upgrades, backups & recovery, provide routine automation and offer technical support for projects as needed.
This role is also accountable for up-time, performance, and security of the computers managed within our network to meet the overall needs of the organization, evaluating and installing patches and resolving issues as they arise.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Analyzes system problems and designs solutions
Documents new software and changes to existing software
Updates technological operating systems
Leads Company Helpdesk Function
Stay up to date on emerging threats, best practices, new technologies, new techniques
Test and Verify Backup Integrity & Recovery
Maintains various GRC related responsibilities
Monitor and maintain the following key utilities:
Websites, Connectivity, Telephony
Access Control, Security, Fire System
Wi-Fi/Cameras, Remote Workstations
Antivirus, Firewalls, Switches/Networking
Server Maintenance
Cloud Maintenance
Microsoft Office Updates & Maintenance
Storage Devices, Active Directory & Domain
Colo (Storage, Connectivity, Networking, VPN, Veaam)
SIEM, Local Synology Backups, B2 Synology Backups
Shadow Networks for Backup Recovery
Hardware Inventory
Deprecations, find alternatives
Software Patch Management / Image Maintenance
Perform other duties as may be assigned.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor’s degree in the Information Technology field, or equivalent technical discipline
- 2 years of contemporary experience within the information technology field
- Demonstration of knowledge of the latest technological trends
- Track record of dealing with complex projects and meeting conflicting demands

- Organized, detail oriented, and ability to work independently.
- Ability to actively communicate and troubleshoot with all staff
- Ability to protect and maintain confidential information.
- Ability to diagnose problems quickly and foresee potential issues.

Salary : $61,500 - $95,000
