President | CEO Job Opportunity
The Wayne County Chamber of Commerce Presidential Search Committee is accepting applications for the position of President|CEO. This leadership role is responsible for overseeing the Chamber’s strategic vision, operations, and initiatives to drive economic growth and business success in Wayne County.
The President|CEO will develop and execute strategies that align with the Chamber’s mission, ensuring measurable outcomes for its membership. This role requires a dynamic and collaborative leader to guide the Chamber team, nurture strong partnerships, and advocate for the local business community.
Key Responsibilities :
- Provide strategic direction, vision, and leadership for all Chamber programs and initiatives.
- Oversee daily operations, ensuring efficiency, financial sustainability, and organizational excellence.
- Oversee hiring, training, and performance management of staff to ensure operational efficiency and alignment with company goals.
- Lead membership growth and engagement efforts, enhancing value for current and prospective members.
- Cultivate relationships with business leaders, government officials, and community stakeholders.
- Represent the Chamber publicly, serving as a key advocate for local businesses and economic development.
- Manage non-profit governance, operations, and financial oversight in collaboration with the Board of Directors.
- Drive fundraising efforts and secure resources to support the Chamber’s mission and programs.
- Deliver compelling public presentations and communications on behalf of the Chamber.
Qualifications :
- Proven experience in organizational leadership, preferably within a Chamber of Commerce, economic development organization, or related field.
- Strong understanding of business operations and economic development principles.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and inspire a diverse range of stakeholders.
- Demonstrated ability to develop and implement strategic plans and manage organizational resources effectively.
- Experience in advocacy and public policy, with a track record of influencing positive change for the business community.
- This role requires a dynamic and visionary leader committed to enhancing the economic vitality of Wayne County and supporting the success of its business community.
