Dept. : Support Services ( Transportation, Child Nutrition, Maintenance, Operations, Special Projects)
Qualifications : Candidates must hold a valid principal license in North Carolina and at least 3-5 years of experience as a school leader.
Reports to : Superintendent
Job Goal : To supervise and organize planning and execution of policies and procedures for the following departments : Transportation, Child Nutrition, Maintenance, and Operations.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities :
- Supports building principals in their leadership roles and collaborates with them to meet the needs of their school.
- Supervises the Director of Transportation Department and collaborates with the department to determine strategies, budgetary needs, and procedures for meeting the district’s transportation needs.
- Supervises the Director of Child Nutrition and collaborates with the department to determine strategies, budgetary needs, and procedures for meeting the district’s transportation needs.
- Supervises the Director of Maintenance and collaborates with the department to determine strategies, budgetary needs, and procedures for meeting the district’s transportation needs.
- Supervises the Director of Operations and collaborates with the department to determine strategies, budgetary needs, and procedures for meeting the district’s transportation needs.
- Evaluates facility projects and cost estimates to recommend implementation decisions.
- Coordinates remodeling, renovations, and new construction projects to meet time, efficiency, and cost expectations.
- Prepares, evaluates, and reports data for capital construction projects.
- Consults with outside agencies regarding facility and environmental issues.
- Coordinates and supervises the development of the school system’s long range facilities plans.
- Manages and directs consistent information in an appropriate and timely manner.
- Attends Board of Education meetings and other required meetings.
- Other duties as assigned by the Superintendent.
Terms of Employment : Twelve-month employment / FLSA Exempt
Starting Salary and / or Grade : Salary based on state salary scale
Evaluation : Performance of this job will be evaluated in accordance with provisions of the Board, local and state policy on evaluation of teachers.
