- Supervise administrative, instructional, and maintenance functions.
- Work with students, parents, teachers, and community partners to promote effective communication.
- Maintain visibility on the school campus and at related activities and events.
- Keep abreast of the disciplinary milieu of the school.
- Maintain high standards of professional conduct.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Supervise all aspects of the school's operations.
- Lead constituent groups to understand and implement the District and school curriculum.
- Support and supervise the implementation of Common Core Standards and standards for college and career readiness.
- Prepare students for success on standardized assessments.
- Serve as a resource for discipline procedures.
- Maintain the school's budget and resources.
- Interview, evaluate, and recommend candidates for hiring.
- Provide leadership in developing and implementing the School and District Michigan Continuous Improvement Plan.
- Use data-driven models to assess student achievement and school performance.
- Chair weekly Cabinet and staff meetings.
- Complete periodical reports and requests.
- Attend, lead, supervise, and participate in school and District activities.
- Communicate with parents, teachers, and other professionals.
- Collaborate with campus safety on implementing safety protocols.
- Collaborate with the program evaluator on evaluating new and current programs.
- Coordinate and collaborate with the school staff to develop an effective learning environment.
- Develop a clear vision for learning for all students.
- Promote high-quality instructional practices.
- Provide timely and constructive feedback to teachers.
- Clearly communicate learning and development goals.
- Develop a culture of collegial and professional relationships among staff and students.
- Support the professional growth of staff members.
- Collect, analyze, and use multiple sources of data to guide continuous improvement.
- Supervise compliance drills.
- Attend Board of Directors and Saginaw Valley State University meetings.
- Perform other duties as determined by the Chief Executive Officer.
