Position Title : Special Education Speech & Language Pathologist
Location : Thorne Elementary School
Reports To : Building Principal and Director of Special Services
Closing Date : Open Until Filled
Qualification Requirements : To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and / or ability required. Minimum Qualifications :
- Endorsement - current CCC-SLP Annual Certification AND Michigan Speech-Language Pathologist License
- Must meet or exceed requirements specified with NCA Standards for Accreditation and No Child Left Behind
- Extensive knowledge of special education rules, guidelines and procedures
- Strong verbal and written communication skills; strong project management skills
- Demonstrates strong consultation skills for supporting special education skills in inclusive settings
- Demonstrates expertise in collaborative teaching to support special education students in inclusive settings
