PRIMARY FUNCTION : Join our dynamic HR team as a Human Resources Specialist, responsible for facilitating new hire orientation and onboarding processes. In this role, you will ensure a seamless entry for hourly employees by handling data entry and collaborating with recruiters on essential pre-employment activities. You will serve as the first point of contact for employees and walk-in applicants, providing vital clerical support.
RESPONSIBILITIES AND TASKS :
- Organize and conduct engaging new hire orientations to familiarize employees with the Company’s policies and the onboarding process; ensure completion and accuracy of all necessary paperwork in Workday.
- Oversee and execute onboarding tasks efficiently, ensuring all information is entered promptly and accurately.
- Validate rehire statuses and manage records when necessary.
- Collaborate with the recruitment team to schedule new hires for orientations, assist with paperwork completion, and coordinate job previews to enhance the new hire experience.
- Screen job candidates bidding for positions and assist the Recruiter with scheduling interviews and managing offer letters; ensure all relevant documentation is uploaded into Workday.
- Serve as the welcoming face for walk-in applicants, addressing their inquiries about human resource policies and, when needed, directing them to the appropriate HR team members.
- Assist with various departmental tasks such as badging, resolving social security inquiries, assisting employees with I-9 completion, and managing Pay Card administration.
- Actively identify and suggest opportunities for process improvements to increase operational efficiency.
- Support all safety initiatives and promote a culture of zero accidents by adhering to safety protocols.
- Assist in organizing employee engagement activities as requested.
- Undertake additional duties as assigned that are relevant to the role.
