Position Summary :

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Human Resources Director to lead the HR function at Waynesburg Nursing and Rehab. This individual will play a pivotal role in shaping the facility’s culture, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards, and supporting a thriving, engaged workforce. Reporting directly to the Administrator, the HR Director will collaborate with leadership to align HR strategies with organizational goals.

Key Responsibilities :

Strategic Leadership :

  • Develop and implement HR strategies that align with the facility's mission and operational goals.
  • Act as a trusted advisor to leadership on workforce planning, talent development, and employee relations.

Recruitment & Retention :

  • Oversee the full-cycle recruitment process, including sourcing, interviewing, and onboarding new hires.
  • Create and manage employee retention programs to foster engagement and reduce turnover.
  • Build partnerships with local schools, training programs, and community organizations to attract top talent.
  • Employee Relations & Culture :

  • Promote a positive workplace culture through initiatives that support employee well-being and satisfaction.
  • Address employee concerns promptly and professionally, mediating conflicts when necessary.
  • Organize staff recognition programs and team-building activities.
  • Compliance & Administration :

  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and SNF-specific regulations.
  • Maintain accurate employee records, including licensure and certifications.
  • Conduct HR audits and lead the preparation for state and federal surveys.
  • Training & Development :

  • Identify staff training needs and coordinate professional development opportunities.
  • Conduct onboarding sessions and ongoing education to reinforce company policies and values.
  • Implement leadership development programs to prepare team members for growth within the organization.
  • Performance Management :

  • Oversee annual performance evaluations and provide guidance on goal setting and improvement plans.
  • Collaborate with supervisors to address performance issues constructively.
  • Qualifications :

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field (Master’s preferred).
  • SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, or PHR certification highly desirable.
  • 3 years of HR experience, with at least 2 years in a leadership role, preferably in a healthcare or SNF setting.
  • Strong knowledge of employment laws and healthcare regulations.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in HRIS and payroll systems.
