CASE MANAGER TECHNICIAN, IFFS, 40 Hours

Primary Purpose:  To maintain meaningful relationships and positive outcomes with families as part of the greater team to provide a bridge to families of children and adolescents with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), Intellectual Disabilities (ID) and other disabilities. 

Essential Functions:

• Collaborate and/or manage the case load with Intensive Behavioral Intervention Specialist and IFFS Senior Director.
• Assist as a liaison between the family and the IFFS Supervisor.
• Attend scheduled Children & Family Support staff meetings.
• Submit monthly documentation on all families and billing.
• Travel within the Merrimack Valley, Lowell, Northshore, Central Middlesex and Metro North areas.
• Home visits and virtual visits for families, based on family need and time of day.
• Attend all required Waystone trainings and workshops as requested.

Case Manager Technician Role

• Implementing parent trainings in-home for all families assigned by IFFS Supervisor (parent training will vary from in home behavioral support, parent consult, reviewing behavioral programs from the school, etc.) as part of the IFFS team.
• Assist with research and applications to various municipal, state and federal programs.
• Work in partnership on the implementation of Family Support Plan with the IFFS team.
• Meet regularly for supervision with the IFFS Supervisor.

Other Responsibilities:

• Assist with other reasonably related duties, as agreed upon with IFFS Intensive Behavioral Intervention Specialist or IFFS Supervisor.

Qualifications

Requirements:

• At least 2 years’ related experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities and their families.
• Strong communication skills
• Knowledge of services for children/adolescents with disabilities and their families.
• Minimum of High School Diploma or equivalent with Certificate such as RBT or Associate’s degree in special education, social work, psychology or a related field, and additional Relias trainings specific to the position within first 90 days of employment.
• Experience or knowledge in using ABA and PBS Methodologies
• Knowledge of Microsoft office and Outlook for documentation and scheduling purposes.
• Position is program driven and requires flexibility of 2 evenings weekly and occasional Saturdays if requested by the family to meet their needs and availability.
• Bi-lingual in English and Spanish is preferred
• Valid driver’s license with minimum of 1 year driving experience
• Reliable transportation for home visits and virtual for all families 
• Regular and predictable attendance
