The Vice President of Day Program Services provides leadership to ensure growth, excellence and achievement of programmatic and agency goals.
LOCATION: Haverhill, MA
SCHEDULE: Full-time, Monday - Friday, core schedule 8am - 4pm
Responsibilities
- Train, supervise, mentor and support management for both ABI & I/DD day program services, including Supervising and evaluating the performance and coordinating ongoing developmental trainings.
- Collaborate with Agency Vice Presidents to ensure cross-divisional communication and development of program models to best serve our individuals.
- Establish overall short- and long-term goals and objectives consistent with the Waystone Health and Human Services strategic plan and work closely with the CPO to monitor outcomes to drive continuous improvement.
- Collaborate with the Massachusetts Department of Developmental Services (DDS), Acquired Brain Injury (ABI), MassHealth and other state and local funding sources ensuring regulatory standards are met to continuously enhance the quality of services.
- Assist with the development of a comprehensive training center or hub that serves not only Day program staff but also other departments, focusing on leadership, compliance, and specialized care techniques.
- Facilitate interdepartmental committees or task forces to share best practices and streamline operations.
- Work with the executive team to incorporate Day Program Services insights into the broader organizational strategy, ensuring alignment with Waystone HHS's mission and vision.
- Serve as the primary liaison to external stakeholders, including government bodies, funding agencies, and community partners, to advocate for policy changes beneficial to the Day Program Services.
- Demonstrate strong leadership skills and a commitment to fostering a culture aligned with Waystone HHS's Mission and Core Values.
Additional Responsibilities:
- Oversee the growth of all day program services, including increasing the capacity of individuals.
- Oversee all aspects of service delivery in the day programs.
- Oversee planning of special projects, including but not limited to staff training, assessing individual satisfaction, and establishing program workplans, in collaboration with appropriate personnel.
- Work in partnership with the Nursing, Clinical, ITS and Facilities departments to discuss programming and individual related issues; meet with other consultants on an as needed basis.
- Oversee and participate new client referrals, placements, and transfers. Liaise with the family and caregivers as necessary.
- Conduct investigations of reportable incidents and complaints related to programs under his/her supervision as needed.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Requirements:
- Eight to ten years of management experience in the provision of services with individuals with IDD, ASD, Mental Health issues and or Brain Injury.
- Five years of significant supervisory experience in human services
- Bachelors in a related field, Masters preferred
- Valid driver’s license in good standing with minimum of 1 year driving experience.
- Regular and predictable attendance
