As RTSW Engineering Intern you will contribute to the development and testing of various hardware interfaces and low-level communications used in a surgical robotic platform. You will assist with writing software in real-time environments (RTOS) as well as embedded Linux. Key Responsibilities:
- Perform hands-on system integration testing
- Solve software issues in complex mechatronics systems
- Develop software tools to support manufacturing
- Permanently authorized to work in the U.S., must not require sponsorship of an employment visa (e.g., H-1B or green card) at the time of application or in the future. Students currently on CPT, OPT, or STEM OPT usually requires future sponsorship for long term employment and do not meet the requirements for this program unless eligible for an alternative long-term status that does not require company sponsorship.
- Have a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher, reflective of all college coursework.
- Be currently enrolled and pursuing a Master’s degree.
- Ability to work full-time (40 hours per week) May 16, 2025 through August or later.
- Maximum post-graduate work experience of up to one year (excluding internships, co-ops, and military)
- Have a passion for a career in technology.
- Commit to a May 16, 2025 internship start date.
- Strong C coding skills in multi-core, multi-threaded environments
- Strong Operating Systems (OS) fundamentals
- Familiarity with writing C /Python scripts to aid verification and validation
- Comfortable in debugging software which controls hardware devices
- Ability to analyze problems and derive thoughtful solutions by working with your team members
- Preferred :
- Familiarity with communication protocols like CAN, CANOpen & EtherCAT
- Familiarity with gRPC, Protocol Buffers
- The anticipated base pay range for this position is : 31.00$ per hour to 59.00$ per hour
