JOB PURPOSE:

Perform functions to maintain current educational accounts while continuing to grow new business with current and new customers, ensuring customer needs are met, and budgeted sales and gross profit objectives are achieved.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Develop and implement sales strategies to achieve sales goals and objectives.
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities to expand the customer base by planning and executing cold outreach using emails, phone calls, or visits to attract new leads.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships and trust with existing and potential customers.
  • Understand and manage different stakeholders, including but not limited to customers, dealers, end users, and A&D segments.
  • Monitor market trends and competitor activity to stay ahead of the competition.
  • Grow top line sales and margin in addition to increasing territory penetration.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve customer issues and complaints.
  • Facilitate communication with internal contacts to ensure sales execution and customer satisfaction.
  • Develop and deliver sales reports and presentations to senior leaders and customers.
  • Attend trade shows and industry events to build networks and promote the company and products.
  • Perform other duties as assigned and needed.
  • Travel time 60% (average) required.

MINIMUM REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Education: Associate degree in Sales or Marketing related field.


Experience and/or Training:
3 years of experience using, selling, or marketing in an educational environment.


Licenses/Certificates:
None


Technology/Equipment:
Proficiency working in Microsoft Office Suite and working knowledge of CRM systems.


PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Education: Bachelor’s degree in sales, marketing, or related field.

Experience and/or Training: 5 years’ experience in outside sales.

Licenses/Certificates:

Technology/Equipment: Experience in a CRM system.


PHYSICAL AND MENTAL DEMANDS:

Sitting for long periods of time, 6-8 hours per day. Walking, speaking, hearing, and seeing. Listen and observe the environment for hazard prevention. Use hands for tools and typing. Semi-frequently lift up to 50 lbs. Some tasks may require the employee to bend, stoop, twist, and turn.


WORKING ENVIRONMENT:

Indoor office working environment. Minimal hazards identified.
