What are the responsibilities and job description for the Overnight Master Control Operator position at WBRZ-TV?
Key Responsibilities:
Monitor and control broadcast signals, ensuring seamless playout of scheduled programming and commercial content.
Operate the Crispin automation system and troubleshoot playout issues.
Ensure accuracy of commercial logs and report discrepancies.
Respond to technical problems, escalate issues as needed, and communicate with Engineering.
Maintain the integrity of emergency alert systems and follow FCC regulations.
Perform routine quality checks on video and audio signals.
Qualifications:
Experience in Master Control or broadcast operations preferred.
Familiarity with Crispin automation and Harmonic servers is a plus.
Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
Basic technical troubleshooting skills.
Willingness to work independently during overnight hours.
