Summary:
Join the team in our Kent, Division and provide support by providing preventive maintenance, service and repair on the equipment offering of WCP. Work with customers to offer solutions on proper equipment installations and usage of related consumable products. Responsible for providing excellent customer service to our existing clients while developing additional sales opportunities to new customers. Essential Functions:
o Perform troubleshooting, repair, and preventive maintenance on commercial equipment.
o Research and introduce new products to customers; prepare and update corresponding quotes; make recommendations and help to manage appropriate levels of inventory.
o Use mechanical aptitude to install and repair machines and equipment: also demonstrate safe equipment use and ensure that equipment is fully operational.
o Train Account Managers and customers on equipment and commodities.
o Manage territory through recognition of service opportunities and implementation of service solutions.
Other Functions:
o Promote appropriate WCP Solutions services, products and maintenance programs.
o Effectively manage time and resources to control costs, enhance efficiencies and meet commitments.
o Attend appropriate technical and manufacturing training.
o Respond to customer emergency service requests on weeknights, weekends and holidays as needed.
o Support Account Managers and Sales Manager by advising activity in customer accounts.
o Maintain clean and service Tech vans.
o Perform other functions as necessary.
Qualifications:
o Minimum of two years equipment and machinery maintenance and repair experience, packaging and janitorial equipment desired.
o Demonstrate hands-on technical ability; mechanical, electrical. Hydraulic or air systems a plus
o Proficiency with Microsoft Windows and current versions of Microsoft Office.
o Valid driver’s license and clear driving record- strongly preferred.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
o Proficient in 240V and 480V electrical systems, including both single-phase and three-phase wiring.
o Experienced in working with AC and DC-powered electrical systems.
o Skilled in PLC controller programming and troubleshooting.
o Knowledgeable in pneumatic control systems and their applications.
o Capable of accurately entering data into computer systems for documenting work orders and maintenance activities.
o Strong communication skills with the ability to interact professionally and constructively with colleagues and stakeholders.
o Open-minded and adaptable approach to problem-solving and task execution. Strong critical thinking.
o General line equipment knowledge required.
o Effective verbal and written communications skills. Ability to communicate at all levels of organization and work well within a team environment in support of company objectives. Customer service oriented, with the ability to work well under pressure.
o Detail oriented, able to work with little direct supervision; well organized, with the ability to prioritize, coordinate and simultaneously maintain multiple projects and effectively follow through on projects.
Working Conditions:
o Travel for on-site repairs at customer’s facilities; subject to extremes in weather and traffic conditions.
o Overtime, occasional weekends as required.
o Office and workshop environment.
o Must be able to sit or stand for extended periods of time; able to bend, stoop and kneel on frequent basis.
o Must be able to lift 50lb on a consistent basis and 100 with team lift.
