Service Writer / Back Parts Counter – Brenham New Holland
Overview
WCTractor is looking for a Service Writer / Back Parts Counter team member to support both the Service and Parts Departments at our Brenham New Holland store. This position plays a critical role in ensuring efficient service operations, coordinating repair orders, and providing support at the back parts counter to assist technicians with parts needs.

Key Responsibilities
🔹 Service Writer Duties:
- Greet customers and gather equipment repair details, ensuring accurate service requests.
- Create and manage work orders in the system, tracking repairs from start to finish.
- Communicate with technicians and customers to provide updates on repair timelines and costs.
- Work with the Service Manager to schedule jobs and prioritize workflow.
- Ensure all warranty and service documentation is completed accurately.
🔹 Back Parts Counter Duties:
- Assist technicians by pulling, ordering, and distributing parts needed for repairs.
- Maintain an organized back counter inventory, ensuring accuracy and availability.
- Process internal parts orders and maintain proper documentation.
- Support the Parts Department with inventory counts, restocking, and organizing shipments.
- Provide backup support to the front parts counter as needed.
Service Writer/Back Counter Parts Sales Qualifications
Qualifications & Skills
✔ Experience in service writing, parts management, or a related role preferred.
✔ Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
✔ Comfortable using computer-based systems for work orders and inventory.
✔ Excellent communication skills to interact with customers, technicians, and vendors.
✔ Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and stand for extended periods.
✔ Knowledge of agriculture, construction, or heavy equipment parts & service is a plus.
