Job Description
We Can Code IT is a leading professional training provider focused on championing social equity through technology. We are searching for a talented, experienced, and enthusiastic PMI Instructor to teach and mentor students in an immersive, in-person training program in Cleveland. The ideal candidate will have real-world project management experience, a deep understanding of PMI methodologies, and a passion for education. This instructor will lead in-person courses on weekends, with occasional weekday availability as needed.
Responsibilities
- Provide engaging instruction on PMI frameworks, project management principles, Agile methodologies, risk management, stakeholder engagement, and related topics.
- Mentor, inspire, and motivate a diverse group of students, creating a supportive and inclusive learning environment.
- Assess student progress and provide actionable, individualized feedback.
- Collaborate with the team to develop and refine the curriculum based on student feedback and industry needs.
- Stay updated with industry trends and PMI standards to integrate relevant updates into instruction.
- Participate in student recruitment and alumni engagement activities, such as workshops, seminars, and open houses as needed.
Qualifications
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is a plus.
- Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM), PMI Agile Certified Practitioner (PMI-ACP), or other PMI certifications are a plus.
- Minimum of 3 years of professional experience in project management, preferably with hands-on Agile, Scrum, or traditional PM experience.
- Strong understanding of PMBOK® Guide principles, Agile methodologies, risk management, and stakeholder engagement.
- Ability to communicate complex concepts clearly and effectively.
- Passion for teaching and mentoring students from diverse backgrounds.
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.
- Prior teaching or leadership experience is a plus.
This role is 100% in-person in Cleveland, OH.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $30.00 - $35.00 per hour
Expected hours: 10 – 30 per week
