WHAT YOU'LL DO AS OUR DISPATCHER
You'll be the behind-the-scenes hero making sure our transportation system runs with precision and care. Think: communicator, troubleshooter, coordinator, and compliance guardian—all in one.
Here's what your day might look like:
- Receive, relay, and/or transmit dispatch for transportation in the most accurate, efficient, and timely manner
- Maintain a detailed log of all radio transmissions, telephone calls, and key communications
- Track driver status and vehicle location using dispatch systems
- Communicate directly with drivers via radio or phone, including emergency response coordination
- Anticipate and respond to route disruptions caused by weather, traffic, or emergencies
- Monitor daily logs and cameras for compliance, safety, and documentation errors
- Keep reports from drivers up to date, organized, and ready for supervisor review
- Ensure adherence to working hour regulations, safety protocols, and reporting guidelines
- Maintain confidentiality around patient and building security information
- Stay ready to support coverage gaps in routes or driver schedules
- Prepare required reports and documentation in a fast-paced, mission-driven environment
- Be available for weekends or extended hours on rotation
- Perform other related duties as assigned
- You stay calm and focused under pressure
- You're a communication powerhouse
- Multitasking comes naturally to you
- You're tech-savvy and experienced with dispatch or radio systems
- You bring a member-first, solutions-focused mindset to everything you do
- High school diploma or GED
- Experience using radio/communication equipment
- Prior dispatch or transportation experience preferred
- Familiarity with local geography is a plus
- Must pass a background check & applicable testing
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
