What are the responsibilities and job description for the Social Media Manager position at We Make Change?
Support a nonprofit providing support for mothers π
Hive provide postpartum mother comprehensive support through coaching, courses and community. There is an urgent unmet need for an affordable, at-home, easy-to-use platform to address the immediate and growing need for maternal postpartum care. This issue is critical and life-threatening; current estimates indicate that 10-20% of mothers experience postpartum depression (PPD). PPD is associated with poor physical and mental health outcomes for parents, including, (in their most-extreme form) suicidal ideation, experienced by 9% of postpartum mothers.
Current postpartum care often ends at 6 weeks, leaving mothers vulnerable. A lack of qualified mental health workers, especially in underserved areas, creates a barrier for those experiencing PPD (Basco & Rimsza, 2013). HONEY bridges this gap with an innovative mobile platform featuring an in-app depression screening tool for seamless referrals to FSA/HSA-accepting mental health professionals while also offering a comprehensive suite of resources including community, coaching, and courses.
