What are the responsibilities and job description for the Sales and Operations Project Manager position at We the Wild?
Are you an ambitious supply chain and project management professional looking to join a company that’s better for the planet, plants, and people? Our fast-growing startup is looking for a passionate, goal-oriented Supply Cghain professional who has a background in effective project execution for US retailers. This role bridges the gap between sales, warehouse and supply chain team, to ensure retail orders are dispatched on time and per requirements. It suits a highly motivated, organized and assertive individual with retail experience that will contribute to the growth of We the Wild in the retail market.
WHAT YOU WILL DO:
- Review all vendor routing guides and compliance requirements of retailers, and modify standard operating procedures.
- Communicate retailer compliance requirements to relevant internal stakeholders, and build processes to maintain accountability.
- Manage the systems behind purchase orders, including; retailer portals, project management, accounting platforms ERP systems.
- Work with the team to build and maintain timing plans for critical projects.
- Use internal project management tools to hold operations and sales personnel accountable for key milestones.
- Work with external logistics and compliance departments at retailers including Target, Walmart, Costco.
- Ensure EDI compliance and ongoing EDI management
- Ensure that sales and operations meetings run smoothly and tasks are effectively delegated.
- Maintain master product data information, and act as the critical contact for this information
- Work with the new product development team to improve our product development process
ABOUT YOU:
- Be a clear and assertive communicator
- Have experience in the US retail industry, ideally with customers including Target, Walmart, Costco
- Understand sales and operational processes; what it takes to move an order from PO to delivery
- Be highly organized with a very high attention to detail
- Be systems orientated with a natural ability to learn new platforms
- Thrive in a role that’s about solving problems
