What are the responsibilities and job description for the Medical Transcriptionist position at Wealth Recruitment, LLC?
- Transcribe & Dictate - Accurately transcribe grossing and microscopic descriptions of surgical pathology cases, including complex medical terminology
- Data Entry & Quality Control - Input dictated and handwritten pathology cases into our laboratory information system while ensuring speed and accuracy
- Resolve & Research - Address user inquiries with complete and accurate solutions or escalate them to the appropriate resources
- Medical Documentation - Convert recorded messages from healthcare providers into well-structured medical reports, summaries, and office visit notes
- Review & Proofread - Ensure transcription accuracy by reviewing documents for grammar, spelling, and medical terminology precision
- Patient Records Management - Maintain and update electronic health records (EHR) while strictly adhering to confidentiality and compliance standards
- Technology & Tools - Work with transcription software, dictation equipment, and speech recognition tools to optimize workflow
- Education: High School Diploma or equivalent (required)
- 2 - 4 years of experience as a medical transcriptionist (required)
- Experience: Previous pathology transcription experience is a plus!
- Tech Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office and familiarity with transcription software is preferred
- Detail-Oriented: Strong attention to detail with excellent data entry and typing skills
