Production Support Draft Person

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

• Order Review:

  • Review orders and quotes for accurate sizing information.
  • Ensure original order accuracy for remakes.

• Drawing Creation:

  • Create production and vendor drawings using AutoCAD.
  • Generate special grille drawings for glass vendors.
  • Develop DXF files for glass and CNC machines.
  • Create templates for manufacturing specific units.
  • Prepare drawings, dimensions, and PDFs for:
    • Park Falls doors SDL.
    • Ladysmith SDL specials (gothics, diamonds, etc.).
    • HC SDL, framing, glue-up, metal bending, and CEB.
    • Southern stretch designs.

• Calculations and Problem-Solving:

  • Calculate specific dimensions for non-current products using formulas.
  • Provide dimensions and angles for trap cutters.
  • Analyze and resolve sizing issues for production staff.
  • Problem-solve discrepancies in drawings within OMNI.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required

• Technical Proficiency:

  • Advanced knowledge of AutoCAD systems.
  • Strong mathematical skills, including geometry and trigonometry.
  • Proficiency with Windows tools, including Excel and Word.

• Attention to Detail:

  • Ability to analyze problems, identify inconsistencies, and offer solutions.
  • Strong reasoning skills and attention to detail.

• Organizational Skills:

  • Capable of prioritizing and organizing work efficiently.

• Additional Knowledge (Preferred):

  • Familiarity with Weather Shield products and systems, such as AS400, WS OneSource, CQ, CQ Special Drawings, and OMNI.
  • Ability to read and interpret tape measures accurately.
