What are the responsibilities and job description for the Video Editor position at Weave?
As a video editor, you will be part of one of the most dynamic creative teams in the state, and work alongside other video creators, designers, writers and creative thinkers. Our projects range from customer testimonial videos to product explainers to commercials, brand videos, promotional videos, event materials, training content and everything in between. This role is perfect for someone passionate about video production and eager to grow their skills in a fun, collaborative and fast-paced environment. As an editor, you’ll be a key part in bringing the creative vision to life, expertly telling the Weave story in video, and working within virtually every media channel, including social media, web, connected TV, trade show event support and more.
- This position will be hybrid based out of our Lehi, UT HQ
- Reports to: Senior Director of Creative
What You Will Own
- Video editing: Edit raw footage into polished videos for various platforms (organic and paid social media, web, connected TV, trade shows, internal use, etc.), ensuring high-quality output. This will be the focus of your role. You will work with our creative teams, as well as the head of video content and the creative director, to edit and deliver videos on a regular cadence throughout the year.
- Production support: Collaborate with the team to plan, storyboard, and execute video projects.
- Equipment management: Handle, maintain, and organize video production equipment, ensuring it is in good working condition.
- Creative collaboration: Work with the creative team to brainstorm ideas, suggest improvements, and contribute to the overall vision of each project.
What You Will Need to Accomplish the Job
- 1-2 years of experience in video editing or production (internships or freelance projects are acceptable).
- Proficiency in video editing software (Adobe Premiere Pro or similar tools).
- Understanding of video formats, codecs, and export settings for various platforms.
- A portfolio showcasing your work in both editing and production is required.
- Basic knowledge of filming, lighting, and sound equipment is a plus.
What Will Make Us Love You
