Key Responsibilities:
- Apply for permits with various jurisdictions, ensuring compliance with all local requirements.
- Coordinate with superintendents and project managers to gather necessary documents and keep projects on schedule.
- Schedule and track inspections, communicate results, and follow up as needed.
- Maintain detailed records of permits, approvals, and related documentation.
- Act as the primary point of contact with municipal offices to address comments, follow up on approvals, and resolve permit-related issues.
- Verify, calculate, and process permitting fees while maintaining accurate payment records.
- Register, maintain, and track contractor licenses and insurance across multiple jurisdictions.
- Provide timely updates to internal teams and customers regarding permit status.
- Answer and direct phone calls, greet visitors, manage office supplies, and handle incoming and outgoing mail.
- Perform other related permitting and administrative duties as assigned.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Experience in permitting, construction administration, or a related field preferred.
- Ability to multitask efficiently, stay organized, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
- Quick learner with the ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $16.00 - $20.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
