Responsibilities

  • Organize/follow territorial sales plan that grows sales volumes and develops new customers while maintaining margin expectations for both company health and sales rep compensation
  • Weekly travel within assigned territory to develop/manage new prospects and grow existing customer base, including joint calls as requested by Sales Manager
  • Cold calling within assigned territory to develop new customers with support of company literature, handouts, etc.
  • Relationship-building activities with customers/prospects, including but not limited to, lunch meetings, industry events, and other outside events that could require attendance outside of normal business hours
  • Develop/maintain annual forecasts, sales goals with Sales Manager
  • CRM data entry/maintenance, including but not limited to pricing updates, customer contact info, sample requests, new and existing customer product opportunities, and other beneficial information as it pertains to competitors, suppliers, products, and more within assigned territory
  • Actively participate in sales team activities, including weekly sales conference calls, regular sales and supplier meetings (as needed/requested)
  • Work hand-in-hand with purchasing and customer service teams to ensure overall daily/weekly order to delivery successes for all customers
  • Actively monitor and track deployed assets and communicate with customers and internal Webb staff to ensure timely returns
  • Monitor and communicate all receivables issues, including outstanding and past due receivables, to customers and internal Webb staff as needed
  • Understand and follow all necessary work SOP’s within Webb, including Webb’s Sales 401 process, ISO procedures pertinent to the sales process, and all Responsible Distribution tenets that require cessation of service should a sale be deemed unsafe for our customer, our employees, or the community.

Work Schedule

  • This is a salaried position that generally requires 40-45 hours per week during normal business hours, after-hours emergency responses are required on an as-needed basis
  • Monday through Friday, weekend hours as needed or as required for travel, etc.
  • Must be available by phone and email should after-hours responses needed
  • Out of town travel as needed for sales meetings, customer corporate visits/events, training, industry events, etc.

Skills Required

  • Bachelor’s Degree OR equivalent industry work experience in chemical sales
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, strongly suggested due to interactions between both external customers and internal staff
  • Strong social awareness as an ability to work with all internal staff and customers alike
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and Outlook
  • Proficiency in negotiation skills, both as a steward to Webb and a liaison for the customer
  • Must be able to work as a member of a team, both for sales and for all internal Webb staff
  • Ability to maintain and uphold confidentiality where needed and applicable

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $90,000.00 - $140,000.00 per year
