Job Summary/Basic Function
Weber State University is seeking an innovative and organized Events and Outreach Coordinator to join the High School Dual Enrollment department. This position will play a key role in advancing the mission of the Dual Enrollment program by designing impactful events, building community partnerships, and engaging with high school students, families, educators, and the community. The ideal candidate will have a passion for education, exceptional communication skills, and the ability to foster meaningful connections between the university and high school communities.
Required Qualifications
Required:
- Bachelor’s degree in education, marketing, communications, public relations, or a related field.
- 1 year of related experience
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and occasional weekends, as needed.
Preferred Qualifications
Preferred:
- Bilingual (Spanish preferred).
- Strong organizational and project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to engage an array of audiences, including students, families, and educators.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe Creative Cloud, and presentation software such as Canva or PowerPoint.
- Proficiency in social media platforms and digital tools for outreach efforts.
- Experience in higher education, K-12 education, or working with Dual Enrollment programs.
- Knowledge of Weber State University’s programs and partnerships with regional high schools.
