Summary: Responsible for directing all clerical functions for both shipping and receiving departments to improve efficiency and effectiveness of assigned operations. This includes ensuring adherence to work schedule and assignment, employee training, ensuring quality and quantity requirements are met, ensuring all paperwork is correct, evaluating staffing requirements, administrating safety, communication, teambuilding, efficiency, discipline, vacation scheduling, etc.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following, other duties may be assigned
- Develop a strong working relationship with the clerical staff to ensure timely and consistent communication and understanding of both the receiving and shipping department concerns.
- Coordinate or perform activities associated with shipping, receiving, distribution, and transportation.
- Devised or altered office procedures to change organizational needs to meet production goals.
- Participate in the work of subordinates in order to facilitate productivity or to overcome difficult aspects of work.
- Develop and/or update procedures, policies, and standards.
- Research, compile, and prepare reports, manuals, correspondence, and other information required by management.
- Initiate disciplinary action with management and HR warranted
- Review records and reports pertaining to activities for the receiving and shipping department in order to verify details, monitor work activities, and evaluate performance.
- Train and instruct employees in job duties and company policies or arrange for training to be provided.
- Foster employee empowerment and lean thinking-to be a leader within the 5S program.
- Ability to handle responsibilities effectively and interface with internal and external customers.

Supervisory Responsibilities
Ability to lead up to 10-15 people in a fast-paced manufacturing/office environment required.

Education and/or Experience
High School Diploma or equivalent, plus 2-5 years’ experience in fast-paced manufacturing or distribution environment. Bi-lingual (English/Spanish) is a plus.
Language Skills
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
Mathematical Skills
Basic math (addition, subtraction, multiplication and division)

Hourly
25th: $25.03
50th: $26.63
75th: $28.22
This is a full-time, non-union position. The benefits information to be posted is as follows:

- 401k Retirement Plan with a maximum match of 3% of your annual pay, up to the IRS limits.
- 15 days of vacation time which is accrued at 2.31 hours per paycheck.
- 5 days of sick time per calendar year.
- Up to 14 weeks of parental leave (8 weeks for recovery and 6 weeks for bonding).
- 10 paid holidays annually
