Job Summary:

We are seeking a Senior Project Control Specialist to join our team in Dallas, Texas. The ideal candidate will have significant experience in project management and a strong background in controlling and monitoring the progress of large-scale projects. This position requires a detail-oriented and highly organized professional with good managerial experience, capable of providing project support to ensure timely and on-budget delivery.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the development, implementation, and maintenance of project control systems, processes, and tools to monitor project performance.
• Monitor and track project costs, schedules, risks, and resources, ensuring compliance with project management methodologies.
• Prepare and analyze project status reports, including forecasts and progress updates, to be shared with stakeholders and senior management.
• Collaborate with project managers and other team members to ensure project scope, budgets, and schedules are adhered to and that project objectives are met.
• Manage and oversee the preparation of project budgets, cost estimates, and financial analysis.
• Lead the development and maintenance of detailed project schedules, ensuring all project timelines and milestones are met.
• Identify potential risks to the project, develop mitigation plans, and monitor their execution.
• Provide leadership, mentorship, and training to junior project control specialists and other project team members.
• Ensure that project control systems are compliant with corporate standards and industry best practices.
• Prepare regular reports and presentations on the project status for both internal and external stakeholders.
• Support the project team with data analysis and problem-solving to improve overall project performance.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Project Management, Engineering, or a related field.
• A minimum of 5-7 years of experience in project controls or project management, with a focus on large-scale projects.
• Strong managerial experience with the ability to lead and mentor team members.
• Proficient in project management software such as MS Project, Primavera, or similar tools.
• In-depth understanding of project management processes, methodologies, and best practices.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

• PMP (Project Management Professional) certification or other relevant project management certifications.
• Experience in managing projects within the construction, engineering, or infrastructure industries.
• Knowledge of project cost control, earned value management (EVM), and project scheduling.
