Job Summary:
We are seeking a Senior Project Control Specialist to join our team in Dallas, Texas. The ideal candidate will have significant experience in project management and a strong background in controlling and monitoring the progress of large-scale projects. This position requires a detail-oriented and highly organized professional with good managerial experience, capable of providing project support to ensure timely and on-budget delivery.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the development, implementation, and maintenance of project control systems, processes, and tools to monitor project performance.
- Monitor and track project costs, schedules, risks, and resources, ensuring compliance with project management methodologies.
- Prepare and analyze project status reports, including forecasts and progress updates, to be shared with stakeholders and senior management.
- Collaborate with project managers and other team members to ensure project scope, budgets, and schedules are adhered to and that project objectives are met.
- Manage and oversee the preparation of project budgets, cost estimates, and financial analysis.
- Lead the development and maintenance of detailed project schedules, ensuring all project timelines and milestones are met.
- Identify potential risks to the project, develop mitigation plans, and monitor their execution.
- Provide leadership, mentorship, and training to junior project control specialists and other project team members.
- Ensure that project control systems are compliant with corporate standards and industry best practices.
- Prepare regular reports and presentations on the project status for both internal and external stakeholders.
- Support the project team with data analysis and problem-solving to improve overall project performance.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Project Management, Engineering, or a related field.
- A minimum of 5-7 years of experience in project controls or project management, with a focus on large-scale projects.
- Strong managerial experience with the ability to lead and mentor team members.
- Proficient in project management software such as MS Project, Primavera, or similar tools.
- In-depth understanding of project management processes, methodologies, and best practices.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
- PMP (Project Management Professional) certification or other relevant project management certifications.
- Experience in managing projects within the construction, engineering, or infrastructure industries.
- Knowledge of project cost control, earned value management (EVM), and project scheduling.
