Part-time Custodian/Janitor

We are looking for a part-time Custodian/Janitor who will be responsible for the overall cleanliness and orderliness of the building, ensuring a clean and safe environment for our team, vendors, and clients of the data center facility. The additional tasks will consist of assisting our maintenance team.

This position is fully onsite at our Ogden, Utah headquarters.

Schedule:

• Monday – Friday, anywhere between 8am and 6pm. The schedule can be worked out during the hiring process.
• More schedule flexibility after 90 days of employment (weekends or evenings).
• Part-time position, around 20-30 hours/week.

Responsibilities and Duties:

• Perform routine and deep cleaning tasks, including sweeping, mopping, dusting, and vacuuming, to maintain clean and sanitary conditions.
• Maintain floors through buffing and polishing to enhance their appearance and longevity.
• Carry out custodial duties in various facilities, including offices, restrooms, and common areas.
• Assist with facilities maintenance tasks as needed to support overall operational efficiency, e.g., moving furniture and other items, and help fix simple issues.
• Ensure all cleaning supplies and equipment are used properly and stored safely after use.
• Respond promptly to cleaning requests or emergencies to maintain cleanliness standards.
• Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards to the appropriate personnel.
• Stock and maintain supply rooms.
• Follow all health and safety regulations.
• Take out all the trash.
• Exterior cleaning includes building and fence lines in all weather conditions.

• Must have knowledge of methods of industrial cleaning; handling hazardous substance management and control SDS, bloodborne pathogens, chemicals, first aid and CPR, and safety practices and procedures.

• Physical demands: Ability to sit, stand, bend, stoop, push, pull, reach, and lift as required on a continuous basis with items that can weigh up to 75 lbs. (with assistance).
• Regularly walk, use hands and fingers, handle or feel, reach with hands and arms, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl, climb stairs, twist, bend, work above shoulders, grasp, carry, push, and pull.
• Coordinate body movements when using tools or equipment.
• Work in noisy environments.
• Ability to work extended hours within a data center environment and typically within a heat range of 60 degrees Fahrenheit upwards of 110 degrees Fahrenheit while following OSHA-driven work rest cycles.
